If you’re a fan of Chromatics, then you’ve been kept pretty happy in 2012. After ‘Tick Of The Clock’ was featured on the soundtrack to the hit film Drive, Chromatics and their unique brand of synth-based nostalgia was propelled into the spotlight and there has been no letting up since. Their melancholy noir-pop was brilliantly portrayed on epic LP ‘Kill For Love’ released in March this year (then re-released sans percussion in May). Earlier this month, producer Jonny Jewel dropped ‘Running From The Sun’, a collection of unreleased material recorded between 2009 and 2011 which can be downloaded here.
As if that isn’t enough material to sink your teeth into, Chromatics released a brand new track and accompanying video ‘Cherry’ this weekend for label Italians Do It Better’s compilation ‘After Dark 2’.
