Capital Cities feat. André 3000 ‘Farrah Fawcett Hair’

Capital Cities are an electro-pop duo from LA who met whilst writing music for commercials where they acquired an ear for a catchy hook and a smorgasbord of musical genres. They’ve put that into good use so far with a string of catchy tracks including ‘Kangaroo Court’ and ‘Safe And Sound’ which has slowly made them a hit on a number of blogs over the last year.

Last week, they finally released their debut album ‘In A Tidal Wave Of Mystery’ via Universal Music/Capitol Records & Lazy Hooks (it’s streaming on NYTimes website for free atm) and dropped real corker of a track in ‘Farrah Fawcett Hair’ by far the most eclectic sounding and infectious song you’ll hear all summer. Somehow they’ve brought together NPR’s Frank Tavares, Shemika Secrest and André 3000 and a host of unknown individuals for, as is sung on the track, some “good shit, baby”.
