Although they’ve been around since 2003, British ‘folktronica’ band Tunng have never really crossed over into a bigger market, which is a shame. They do have a legion of hardcore fans though proven by their sold out live shows. Last week they released their fifth full-length album ‘Turbines’ via Full Time Hobby. It’s a real grower like most of their output so far but it’s also their most accessible work to date – the experimentation is still there (blending melodic folk with soft electronica) but it’s not as in your face as previous releases.
