The hip hop world has historically been dominated by men and that doesn’t look like it’s going to change. However, that hasn’t stopped North Carolina rapper Rapsody whose been upping her game ever since she broke out on a Kendrick Lamar track in 2011. She’s just followed her excellent 2012 debut ‘The Idea of Beautiful’ with another mixtape ‘She Got Game’ released last month.
She’s not only managed to rope in some top notch producers including 9th Wonder (who takes the reigns on over half the record) DJ Premier, Ka$h, Eric G, Khrysis, E.Jones and Denaun Porter; but also some fine guest spot from some highly talented rappers including Mac Miller, Chance the Rapper, Jay Electronica, Ab-Soul, Raekwon and on the track below, Chicago’s Common. Enjoy the smooth sounds.
